postheadericon Diabetes and Pancreatic cancer

Diabetes is a very dangerous ailment for the patients who are suffering with the diabetes mellitus. Pancreas acts as the endocrine as well as the exocrine gland and also assists in the digestion and also with body metabolism. The endocrine glands exude insulin and glucagon, whereas, the exocrine glands secretes the various pancreatic enzymes.
The malignant cells which breed in these pancreatic glands are known as pancreatic cancer. These diabetics usually develop these pancreatic cancers in their body which include the blood vessels, various tissues, the white blood cells, T – cells, and also the L – cells, which act as the defending systems for the body.
The lymphatic methods will be unsuccessful to protect these cancer cells. The high blood and glucose cells even with the cure and treatment of the medicines for diabetes would not be able to control the cancer cell production. The patients would undergo both chemotherapy as well as the radiation therapy for the treatment of the cancer. The after effects are – hair loss, weight loss, headaches, insomnia, various allergic reactions, physiological disorders and also irritation.
The cancer which goes on affecting one organ after another is known as the metastatic cancer. This cancer starts from the pancreas and can go on to affect any part of the body and organs like the kidneys, liver, eyes, blood, lungs and skin as well.
The cancer medicines which are used for pancreatic cancer are targeted therapy with Erlotinib medicine which would block the action of these cancer cells either to grow or to flourish.

postheadericon Type 1 or juvenile onset diabetes

Diabetes is a convoluted syndrome that needs close monitoring. But when it is appropriately treated, it can be supervised and organized in a better manner. Even with the disease a diabetic can still live a long and happy life.

Mainly there are two different types of diabetes mellitus one is the type 1 diabetes and the other one is type 2 diabetes. Type1 diabetes is also referred as juvenile-onset diabetes and the second type of diabetes is popularly known as adult-onset diabetes.

When there is hormone imbalance in the body and if there is reduction in the level of insulin this can lead to diabetes.

In case of juvenile-onset diabetes or type 1 diabetes a sufficient amount of insulin is not produced by the body. On the other hand because of autoimmunity pancreas loses its capability to produce the hormone and as a result the body cells will directly attack the pancreas (as this produces the insulin) and in turn it will be destroyed. More over type 1 diabetes problem is not curable.

You cannot stop Type 1 diabetes from increasing and one cannot predict who will get it. Happily though, there are lots of valuable treatment alternatives available like insulin injections. The main function of this injection is to maintain sufficient blood sugar levels in the body so as to keep the patient healthy. However, an insulin pump can also be utilized to a great extent in order to manage the levels of glucose for type 1 diabetics.
